Privacy Policy
Your data's safety is our priority.
At Studva, we want you to work with peace of mind. Our community includes many students — some of them minors — so we take protecting your privacy very seriously, for everyone.
A 100% French-made app
Studva is built in France and complies with all European data-protection laws (GDPR).
Your location
We only use your position to detect when you arrive at or leave a work place (like a library or a café) so your timer can start automatically. We never track you in the background.
Your home is always hidden, and nobody can see your precise position in real time.
Your info
We only keep what's needed: your username, your email to sign in, and your work stats. Nothing is shared without your consent.
Your data stays with us
Everything is stored securely on servers in Europe. And we sell nothing!
App blocking (iPhone)
If you choose to block apps during your sessions, you pick them in Apple's own selector. iOS only hands us anonymous identifiers: Studva doesn't know which apps you picked.
That selection stays on your phone — it is never sent to our servers.
Crash reports
When the app crashes, a technical report is sent to our bug-tracking servers, located in Germany (European Union). It contains the error, your phone model and your account ID — never your email, never your location, never your photos.
This service is used solely to fix bugs.
The services that help us run
Your data is stored in Europe: your account, your sessions and your photos are in Germany (European Union), as are crash reports and sign-in emails. Nothing is stored in the United States.
Three things do travel through American services, because no app can do otherwise:
- Notifications go through Apple or Google to reach your phone, with Expo relaying them. For a direct message, the notification contains the beginning of the message — as on any messaging app. You can turn them off in the settings.
- Maps: your IP address and the area on screen are sent to Mapbox, which provides the base map. Never your account, never your sessions.
- Updates: on launch, the app asks Expo whether a fix is available. It only sends its version and device type.
No ads, no trackers, nothing sold.
How long we keep your data
As long as your account exists. These are your stats, your history and your records: wiping them after six months would make no sense. The moment you delete your account, everything goes immediately — photos included.
Crash reports are the exception: they are kept for 90 days at most.
You stay in control
You can access your data or delete your account and everything that goes with it (photos, stats) in one tap from the settings. It's immediate.
